Semi-formal wedding attire is a polished, elevated style that is dressier than casual but less formal than black-tie, balancing elegance with comfort, with women often wearing cocktail/midi dresses or jumpsuits and men opting for suits or sport coats with dress shirts and slacks. It is about sophisticated, well-fitted clothing, allowing for more color and personality than black-tie but requiring dress shoes and avoiding jeans or overly casual wear.

For Everyone:What to Avoid: THE COLOR WHITE, jeans, t-shirts, sneakers, overly casual wear, and anything too flashy that competes with the couple.

For Women:Dresses: Knee-length, midi, or cocktail dresses in elevated fabrics like chiffon, satin, or lace.Alternatives: Chic jumpsuits, dressy two-piece sets, or tailored pants with elegant tops are great options.Fabrics &amp; Colors: Consider jewel tones for evening and luxurious materials.Shoes: Heels, wedges, or dressy flats.

For Men:Suits/Jackets: A tailored suit or a sport coat with dress pants (chinos, slacks).Shirts: Crisp dress shirts in white, pastels, or subtle patterns.Accessories: A tie or bow tie (optional, can add personality), pocket squares, dress socks.Shoes: Polished dress shoes like oxfords or loafers; avoid casual footwear.

Est. 15 minute drive from the wedding venue. Suggested hotel in the Hi-Pointe neighborhood that is near a movie theater, restaurants and coffee shops, museums, and Forest Park. This hotel is attached to where we will be hosting our welcome dinner on Friday, October 23.

Est. 25 minute drive to wedding venue. Suggested hotel in the Central West End neighborhood that is near many restaurants, museums, and Forest Park.

AC Hotel St. Louis Central West End

Est. 20 minute drive from the wedding venue. Suggested hotel near Forest Park. If staying here, be sure to check out Mac's Local Eats which is attached to the hotel -- easily the best burger in STL!

Hampton Inn & Suites St. Louis at Forest Park

Est. 10 minute drive to the wedding venue. This hotel is not near Forest Park, but is surrounded by restaurants. Downtown Kirkwood offers quaint shopping and coffee shops. This hotel is near Laumeier Sculpture Park - a free county park to spend some time outdoors and view works of art!
